Instead of Google Maps

CoMaps exists because its contributors forked Organic Maps in 2025 over concerns about governance, transparency and shareholder profit. Since then they have removed the Kayak affiliate links and Google Firebase code, rewritten the map server so it collects nothing, and made it possible to host the map files yourself. A fork as self-defence is about as Illich as open source gets.
You download a region once and navigate on your phone with no account and no tracking. It drops points on Delivery because offline maps still can't match Google on live traffic or business listings, and some days that matters.
