Instead of Adobe Firefly and hosted AI studios

ArtCraft describes itself as an IDE for artists. It gives you 2D and 3D compositing, character posing, background removal and image-to-3D tools around AI image and video generation, and the whole studio is on GitHub under an MIT or Apache-2.0 licence. It runs on Windows and Mac, in the browser, or from source on Linux, and says no subscription is required.
Much of the generation appears to use hosted models from other providers, so what leaves your computer depends on the model you pick, and its page doesn't say which parts run locally. It is a young project from a small team, and we could not confirm whether an account is needed. It earns its place for giving artists real control over composition, which most AI tools do not.

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.
For dark backgrounds, use artcraft-dark.svg in place of artcraft-light.svg.
For comparison, we also reviewed Adobe Creative Cloud (12/30) as a benchmark.
