FreshRSS is a feed reader you run yourself, on a home server, a cheap host or a service like PikaPods. It is light enough for a Raspberry Pi, supports several users, exports your subscriptions as standard OPML and has an API that mobile reader apps can use. It is community-run, with a release every couple of months.
You get the old open web the way it was meant to work, with no tracking and no ranking. The cost is that somebody has to host it, which puts it out of reach for people who don't want to run a server. Pair it with a friend who does, or a hosted plan, and it is a strong choice.
