Benchmark review. Giants are reviewed rarely, to show what the tools in the directory are measured against. This one is not listed in the directory, and it is an example, not a recommendation. Scores are our opinion on the six questions, based on public sources and dated October 2026.
Google Password Manager is built into Chrome and Android and needs no setup, which is why so many people use it. When you are signed in to Chrome your passwords are saved to your Google Account, sync across devices and appear at passwords.google.com, and when you are not signed in they stay on your device. You can export your passwords from its settings.
The trade-off is that it puts the keys to all your accounts inside one Google account, owned by a company whose business is advertising, and it works best inside Google's own browser. Compare it with the password managers in the directory.
