digiKam organises large photo collections on your computer, with tags, ratings, face detection and metadata that follows the standards. Your pictures stay in folders, so nothing is stuck inside it.
It is a big program with a lot of options, and it has no built-in phone backup, so Delivery is a 3.
- Organises a large library on your own computer
- Tags and ratings use open standards
- Big and powerful, with a learning curve

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.
For dark backgrounds, use digikam-dark.svg in place of digikam-light.svg.
For comparison, we also reviewed Google Photos (16/30) as a benchmark.
