OBS Studio lets you combine your camera, screen and images into a scene, then record it or send it into a call through its virtual camera. That covers custom backgrounds and overlays that Teams and Zoom offer in a smaller way.
It was made for streamers, so the first hour is confusing for someone who wanted a blurred background, and Delivery is a 3.
- Builds custom backgrounds and overlays for calls
- Records or streams your screen and camera
- Made for streamers, so the setup is heavy

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.
For dark backgrounds, use obs-studio-dark.svg in place of obs-studio-light.svg.
For comparison, we also reviewed Snapchat (14/30) as a benchmark.
