Tor Browser is built on Firefox and sends your traffic through volunteer-run relays, so the sites you visit cannot see your address. It is made by the Tor Project, a nonprofit, and it has long been used by people who need to stay unobserved.

Pages load more slowly, and some sites block it, so Delivery is a 3. It is a tool for specific needs, and we have not tested how well it fits daily use.

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.

For dark backgrounds, use tor-browser-dark.svg in place of tor-browser-light.svg.

For comparison, we also reviewed Google Chrome (17/30) as a benchmark.
