Miniflux
A plain, fast feed reader you host yourself or pay a small fee to host.
Instead of Google News
Screenshot from miniflux.app, taken 2026-10-23, shown to help you recognise the tool. It belongs to its maker. Ask us to remove it.
Miniflux reads RSS and nothing else, with no recommendations and no clutter. It is open source, runs as a single small program, and exports your subscriptions in the standard OPML format.
It looks bare on purpose, so Delivery is a 3. Hosting is a paid option if you do not want to run it.
- Minimal RSS reader with no recommendations
- Open source and light enough to run anywhere
- Looks plain on purpose

This badge reports a dated review. It is not a certification and it costs nothing. Link it to this page and leave the numbers alone: the image always shows the current score.
For dark backgrounds, use miniflux-dark.svg in place of miniflux-light.svg.
For comparison, we also reviewed Google News (15/30) as a benchmark.
